| Description: | A word, code, or other piece of information used to access protected resources (data, computer access, ...). Password security is pretty critical. In case a password is stolen or obtained by some other means, the system would have no way to ensure the legitimacy of the user. Furthermore, transmitting unencrypted passwords on the Internet is not a good practice, even though a common one.
