Go to Glossary List

Description: In Windows environment, a Domain Controller is a host in charge of login to the domain. This allows connected users to be able to access a pool of network resources. There are 2 types of domain controllers ( DC ) : primary DC and backup DC. The first one is doing the work. In case of unavailability, one of the backup DC does the job.
