Description: CIFS is the Common Internet File System, and defines a standard protocol for accessing remote file systems over the Internet. This enables groups of users to work together and share documents across the Internet or within their corporate intranets. CIFS/E is a family of protocols that extend CIFS for use in enterprise networks. Among the protocols in CIFS/E is one that discusses implementing a computer browser.
