| Description: | DNS stands for Domain Name System. It purpose is to allow mapping between Internet names (eg : www.netvigilance.com) and IP addresses (eg : 97.11.12.13). It is based on a distributed network of name servers that allow the resolution of names in a hierarchical namespace, sharing the same "root".
